1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 (Lilith)

In-Situ Restoration

This car is my buddy Jared's 1969 Mustang Mach 1 project. He picked this car up in January of 2007 (I can't believe it's been in process that long). This was after an arbortive attempt with another Mustang that was, well, more rust than steel. As you can see from the pictures it's pretty good looking from the dealer photos.

I really like the White on Black paint scheme. I think that If I got my hands on one of these I'd go for a similar paint scheme.

Now, Jared's vision of this car differs greatly from what I would envision. Here's where a restoration really reflects the restorer's preferences.

1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

The overall goal for this car is a technology packed resto-mod. It'll be black, it's going to be filled with whiz bang computer stuff. Now, initially I was really against this, until I saw his plans, and the underlying condition of the car. What's important to note is that none of the resto-mods are irreversible and that's always an important thing to consider.

Those that know the model well will note that there's some things "off" on the car. I'm not going to speak too much about it now, you'll find out more later.
