20th Annual All British and European Car Day
November 9th, 2008.
Gordon Biersch Brewery and Restaurant, Westgate City Center, 6915 N. 95th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona
It was interesting. I managed to get across the city by 8:30am and initially I was a little upset because I had in
my head the idea that the overall attendance would be like that of the Wheels of Britain event. It wasn't. But
I rapidly realized that small shows can be just as much fun, if not more so, than big shows as I had plenty of
time to take all the pictures I wanted as well as talk to folks. And I met a lot of great people at the show
today!
The main marque for the show is MG, but there were also a fair number of Austin Healeys, Triumphs and Jaguars.
In the "other" category there was a beautiful Interceptor that was driven down from Prescott, a Mercedes that was, well
totally drool-worthy, and I even saw an AMC Gremlin in the parking lot! Yes, I realize AMC is an American car, but
heck, you don't see them often so I had to photograph it.
- MG
